Public lecture
I’m taking my determinism show on the road ‒ or just down the road. North Carolina State University kindly invited me to give the annual World Philosophy Day public lecture this Friday, Nov. 21, from 2:00-3:30pm. The lecture is free, open to anyone, and will include ample time for Q&A. The lecture won’t be recorded, but if you find yourself in the Raleigh area, feel free to join us! See the poster and abstract below for details.

Abstract: Determinism asserts that whatever happens had to happen given everything that came before it. This talk will introduce the doctrine of determinism, clear up misconceptions about it, and give reasons to accept it. Although determinism doesn’t imply what many people think it does, its real implications ‒ explored in this talk ‒ are mind-blowing and life-changing. Determinism is true, and it matters to you!
